The “Applied Creativity Across Domains” Summer School 2010 is designed to provide Chinese students – either at a Bachelor, Master or Doctoral level -- with a range of courses covering the topic of applied creativity. Characterized as a multi-disciplinary program, this summer school provides the participants with an overview of the research and application of creativity across interdisciplinary domains, including Teaching and Training, Psychology, Engineering and Business.
Co-hosted by the University of Applied Management, Erding, Germany, and the School of Economics and Business Administration, Beijing Normal University, P. R. China, this summer school invites celebrated scholars and professors from different German and Chinese universities/institutes, including University of Munich and University of Applied Sciences (Deggendorf) of Germany as well as the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The summer school will be held from 25 July to 8 August 2010 at the Beijing Normal University. Up to 30 students will be accepted to this summer school, which will be conducted in English.
Sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), this summer school is free of charge to all selected participants, who are supposed to bear the travel and accommodation costs on their own. Students who successfully complete the required assignments of the Summer School will be granted an "Applied Creativity Across Domains " Summer School Certificate, signed by both UAM and BNU university officials. For those who are interested studying at UAM, some modules of the Summer School which are compatible with those of UAM can be calculated into the credit points that will be recognized by UAM. Besides, through the specific module "Study in Germany" director of the International Office of UAM as well as officials of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will provide information about study possibilities in Germany and the relevant policies.
Students who are interested in the topic of creativity, have a plan to study in Germany, or are interested joining us in the research on applied creativity are welcome to submit their applications.
